"We
just wanted to give you an update on our dog,
Caicos, whom we adopted in June 2004.
We were on vacation in Turks and Caicos visiting
friends and enjoying some time alone. During one of
our visits, our friends mentioned the work of Susan
Blehr after we remarked about the dogs we saw running
around the island. We had recently lost our beloved
pet, Alta, and were very aware of these dogs who
seemed to have no place to go.
Our friends contacted Susan and she brought to our
hotel an adorable little potcake to see. Needless to
say, it took no more than a few minutes for us to
decide that this sweet, little being would become the
newest member of our family. And what a great souvenir
from the trip!
It has been a couple of years now and Caicos fits
right in with the children. She loves to run around
with them and jog with her dad. The Indiana winters
seem to be a little cold for her so she spends time
lying on her bed or following us around the house --
she hates to be left alone"
